Stacey Stovall
Founder and Principal

Stacey specializes in biodiversity planning and assessment, hydropower mitigation, habitat protection, and natural resources project management. She has been active in land conservation for over 25 years, protecting thousands of acres of habitat that include rare wetland plant communities, grizzly bear spring range, bull trout spawning streams, and cultural resources.

Prior to starting TransEco Services, Stacey worked for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) as a Wildlife Research Biologist and Wildlife Mitigation Biologist. After ten years with IDFG, she began working with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians as a Wildlife Project Manager in the Natural Resources Department. She was responsible for directing the protection of fish and wildlife habitat and spearheaded the department’s biodiversity conservation initiative, facilitating biodiversity assessments and the development of implementation strategies to protect and restore critical components of ecosystem biodiversity.

Stacey has worked with a variety of clients, including the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy, the Columbia Basin Fish and Wildlife Authority, Avista Corporation, and the Bonneville Power Administration.

Stacey calls Sandpoint, Idaho her home. In fact, it is with newfound gratitude that she has come to appreciate the many, many things North Idaho brings to her soul’s happy place: clean air, big sky, winter sunshine, wandering moose, and a local community that packs a lot of love and support into one beautiful place we all share.

Stacey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from California State University at Fullerton, and minors in Chemistry and Botany.
